Wesley Blake Facts
He was brought up by a single mom.
Wesley wanted to be a wrestler since he was 3 years old.
In 2005, he played middle linebacker for Medina Valley Panthers on the all-state high school level.
During his time at Texas State University, he played college football and was a strength instructor.
He considers WWE Hall of Famer and fellow Texan Dory Funk Jr. his mentor. Wesley attended his wrestling school/camp, the Funking Conservatory in Ocala, Florida, United States.
On July 3, 2015, at 3:00 A.M., he was arrested for driving under the influence. He refused to take the BAC (Blood Alcohol) test, even though officers told him that his driving license would be suspended for a year. Ultimately, he entered a plea of not guilty and later avoided sentencing by entering into a community service program and attending correctional classes.
He has a dog that he calls Butter the Bulldog.
Wesley made his debut in the video game WWE 2K16 as a downloadable character only named “Blake”. He was also featured in the next year’s version of the game.
His official WWE introduction always stirs up the crowd’s passion, and it is: “With a bad attitude, a fiery temper and heavy fists, Blake can always be counted on to put up one hell of a fight.”
On November 21, 2019, it was announced he had suffered facial lacerations in a non-title loss against a RAW Tag Team, “The Viking Raiders.” Luckily, the doctor gave him a green light to come back for the next fight.
